Yay!! Here rises the third es.com layout this year that's relatively on time. =DDD I really hated the rather sporadic updates I made last fall, so I'm really content to be back on track. I'm such a stickler schedules when it comes to my pages (and lists!) that it's really a marvel that I'm so disorganized offline. I lose things like you wouldn't believe and all of my papers that wind up in my bag get crumpled. I suppose this just proves that I'm quite capable of being organized when I care enough to be.^^
So there's a new layout obviously, and yes it's super pink and super girly. No I'm not having a change of personality or tastes, I just have a sort of reversed approach for layouts. While some people may assume that my more pastel, bubbly and perky looking layouts appear when I'm feeling pastel, bubbly and perky, it actually means I've been feeling really under the weather at the time of design. At
my most content, I'm quirky and morbid and my art will reflect that dark amusement. I guess it's just my way of searching for emotional equilibrium through my designs. Coding and designing are oddly therapeutic for me.
I want to apologize to anyone who's tried to send me email or communication of some kind in the past two or three weeks. I haven't answered anything, I've just been out of my nerves. I'm trying to get back in the swing of
things and hopefully I'll be getting my affairs back in order within the next few weeks. Thanks for all of your supportive comments and understanding everyone.
Anyway aside from the displeasing bubblegum flavor of the decor here, I'm actually very pleased with the layout. The top image turned out really well and didn't look disjoined as I feared it might since I had to do quite a bit of editing to get text out and to put Aya, Miyu and Mami in
the same pic. I like the background picture of Ran far better than I like the one that accompanied the three other girls. The backdrop turned out nicely too. I'm not too sure how I feel about this sidescrolling thing. It looks fine but it's a pain in the ass to code. I definitely don't think this is something I'll make a habit of, which might please anyone who's already annoyed with it. ^^ It was an experimentation that turned out okay but not great.       Anyway there are a few updates here and there are more than a couple planned to be released in the next few weeks so check the updates if you're a regular visitor. With that said, feedback via email or guestbook would be greatly appreciated as always. Read my blog if you miss mebetween now and June! See you next month everyone. ::waves and exits stage left::
